When you slice to new midi track, the audio is automatically chopped up and loaded into a drumrack. The macro's are auto assigned (attack, decay, sustain, release, start offset, loop length, loop compress and x-fade/snap).

To edit the macro mappings, click on the show devices tab (3rd below the on/off switch for the drumrack). Now all you have to do is click on a parameter and then hit 'map' under the macro control you want to map that to.

Wow great post! About the adjusting, if you go into your library there is a folder called defaults, inside are all the "empty" device chains used in the "Slice to new MIDI track". You could potentially save yourself loads of time by pre-mapping the envelopes of sampler to macros. I can't wait to go try this in my studio and hopefully make some device chains to share with you guys!
